A Vision for Chemistry

The chemistry department will provide students the opportunity to develop the foundation to enter graduate schools as critically-thinking research students with state-of-the-art knowledge, industry as BS-level chemists capable of establishing themselves as first rate functioning chemists with little or no further training, and medical schools as students having an orientation toward critical evaluation and assimilation of research and research findings. The chemistry department's vision for the non-science major is to provide state-of-the-art instruction to meet the challenges facing an individual in the 21st century.
